2022 Ford Super Duty standard and available technology

Pickup trucks are a beloved vehicle here in the United States, and while a lot of that has to do with the brawny and tough capabilities they offer, it is also important these days to have a great deal of top-notch technology features at your fingertips to help you along the way. When you think of the Ford Super Duty lineup—the F-250, F-350, and F-450—you may not automatically be thinking of technological powerhouses, but that is precisely what they are. Let’s take a look at some of the 2022 Ford Super Duty standard and available technology features.

There’s a saying that goes, “work smarter, not harder,” and the Ford Super Duty lineup falls in line with that philosophy with its technology features on the offering. For 2022, connectivity has been given quite a boost with the available 12-inch touchscreen and the cloud-connected Ford SYNC® 4. That system features wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and it also includes connected navigation to help guide you along the right path.

The new SYNC 4 system provides twice the computing power of the previous, already-impressive SYNC system. It is able to wirelessly connect smartphones without needing to deal with USB cords, making syncing up your compatible phone that much easier. The added computing power means the system is better at understanding more natural tones of voice when you speak your voice commands, so you can speak as if you’re having an everyday conversation.

These features are available on the Lariat and higher trims of the Ford Super Duty lineup, but the standard infotainment system is no slouch either, with its eight-inch screen and SYNC 3 technology. Other updates for the 2022 Super Duty trucks include the availability of the Black Appearance Package for the XLT models, a new Lariat Sport Appearance Package, and new colors inside and out: Baja (interior) on the Lariat; Navy Pier and Light Slate (interiors) on the Limited; and an Atlas Blue exterior color option.
