How to spring clean your Ford vehicle
While we may not always feel the full brunt of winter in Georgia like our neighbors to the north do, there’s no denying that things can get a little chilly and messy during those winter months. So, when spring arrives, it is indeed a welcome sight! With that being said, the change in seasons is a good time to check in on your Ford and give it a good cleaning since winter can get dirty. Read ahead for our tips on how to spring clean your Ford vehicle to make it shine like it was always meant to.
Basic cleaning inside and out
First things first: Have you pounded down some winter or holiday snacks while in the car and left the wrappers inside? It’s okay, we all do it sometimes. There may be wrappers, junk mail, and other items gathered in your Ford that is cluttering it up. Simply grab a garbage bag or even a plastic bag from the store and use it to collect the trash. Then, take a wipe that is meant for use on a car’s interior and wipe everything down of the dust and fingerprints and grease. It’ll look almost as good as new! Once that is done, take a handheld vacuum and give your seats and the carpeting a cleaning to get rid of loose dirt and gravel and the like.

If you need to, now might be a good time to shampoo the carpet as well with a special car-friendly formula. Then, give your Ford a nice handwashing with automobile-friendly soap (don’t use any old dish soap, as that can be too harsh) or take it for a professional car wash. Finally, to add that extra sparkle and protection, you can apply a coat of wax for the final touch.
Vehicle maintenance
In addition to giving it a proper cleaning, now is a great time to check your maintenance schedules. Are you due for an oil change? Is it time for a tire rotation? Maybe you need a new cabin filter.
