Ford has promised that the 2023 Ford F-150 EV will provide more horsepower, more torque, and faster acceleration than any F-150 currently on the market. In terms of horsepower, that means we’ll be getting more than 450 (which would equate to 336 kilowatts).

The 2023 Ford F-150 is expected to make a point of surpassing the towing capacity of the Tesla Cybertruck. That latter vehicle is claimed to be able to pull 14,000 pounds. That’s more than any current F-150.

What special features will the 2023 Ford F-150 EV have?

The 2023 Ford F-150 EV will have dual electric motors; it’s expected that there will be one located at each axle. The vehicle will also support over-the-air updates.

Ford is working on a feature that allows the F-150 EV to function as a mobile power generation device. This will allow the truck to be used as an electricity source on job sites, campgrounds and in remote areas.

Under the hood, since there’s no need for an engine, users will instead find a weatherproof, locking front trunk, or “frunk.” Individuals can store items inside that are too important to put in the bed, such as valuables and power tools.

Ford has also stated that the 2023 Ford F-150 EV will be cheaper to operate over the course of its lifetime than any other F-series truck. Drivers should be able to save more than 40% in maintenance costs compared to those using a gasoline-powered Ford pickup. Of course, this is in addition to fuel savings.
